The Portuguese Society of Clinical Nutrition and Food (SPCNA) continues to actively support scientific exchange and professional engagement across Portugal and internationally.

In 2026, SPCNA has participated in the opening sessions of several scientific and professional events, including the 3rd Congress of ULS São João Nutrition Department in Porto, the 25th Congress of Nutrition and Food organised by the Portuguese Nutrition Association (APN), and the Research Centre in Anthropology and Health conference at the University of Coimbra. SPCNA also supported events addressing diabetes, obesity, nutrition and public health.

The Society provided scientific sponsorship for the IV International Congress of the Portuguese Society of Speech Therapy and the 35th AEFCNAUP Scientific Nutrition Congress, among others.

Looking ahead, SPCNA has been invited as a partner of the 10th International Congress of Nutritionists in Zagreb, Croatia, in November 2026.

In November, SPCNA will also hold its 20th Congress (12th Nutrition Low Cost Congress) at the Armed Forces Hospital in Porto, bringing together approximately 300 professionals and students. The programme will explore topics including obesity, clinical and hospital nutrition, microbiota, personalised nutrition, public health and healthy ageing.
